Prof. Au Yuk Fai, Kevin

 

Kevin Au is a Hong Kong native. He graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a B.B.A. degree in 1989, and went on to studied for a M.Phil. degree of Psychology at the ssame university. His motivation then was to understand cross-cultural social behaviors which awed him during a European tour. With a lot of luck, he was accepted by the business school of the University of British Columbia. He spent five years in the beautiful city of Vancouver and returned to Hong Kong with a Ph.D. in management/ International business. His alma mater hired him and promoted him to be an associate professor in 2001. His research interests are diverse: international HRM, social network, and research methodology. He recently starts his first book project with the tentative title of “E-learning in Greater China.” Asked about the finishing date, Kevin refused to give a definite answer, citing buoyant consulting work, increasing involvement with CUBA Alumni, and numerous side interests as excuses. His favorite activities are sleeping and self-actualization.

Prof. Chan Chi Fai, Andrew

 

Prof. Chan obtained his MBA from the University of California at Berkeley and his BBA and Ph.D. from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research areas cover Strategic Marketing, Business Negotiation, and Customer Relationship Management. He had worked for Bank of America and IBM World Trade Corporation before he started his teaching career. At present he is a professor in the Department of Marketing and the Director of the Executive MBA Programme in the Faculty of Business Administration, CUHK. Prof. Chan has published in international journals including Journal of World Business, Business Horizon, Marketing Planning and Intelligence, International Journal of Advertising, Tourism Management, International Journal of Consumer Marketing, etc. Prof. Chan has also rendered research and executive training services for many renowned local and international institutions.

Mr. Chan Li Wah, Watson 

 

Watson Chan graduated from CUHK in 1983. He obtained an MBA degree and completed the PhD programme in real estate at the Haas School of Business of the University of California at Berkeley. After heading the research department of the largest real estate appraisal firm in California for several years, he relocated back to Hong Kong in 1997. In Hong Kong, he spent some 5 years with an international surveying firm in charge of its research division. Since 2001, he has been the Head of the Research and Library Services Division of the Legislative Council Secretariat.

Ms. Chan Sau Chun, Cynthia

 

Cynthia Chan graduated as a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2004 with the concentration in Finance and Marketing. She has served in the banking industry since graduation and is now working in the investment banking department of one of the largest Japanese integrated financial services groups.

Mr. Cheuk Koon Ho, Kenneth

 

Kenneth Cheuk graduated in 1994 with a concentration on Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics (DSE). He had also attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he pursued studies on political science.

 

Kenneth is the founder and managing director of Avalade Group, a marketing consultancy offering Corporate performance management, CRM and e-marketing services. Prior to establishing Avalade Group, Cheuk is the managing director of SurfGold Hong Kong, a regional CRM consultancy where he manages the Greater China business. Before SurfGold, he had worked at various sales and marketing management positions at Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific, SAP and Apple Computer.

Mr. Cheung, Barry

 

Barry Cheung was graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong as a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2002, with the concentration in Management Information System (MIS). He has been working in continuous improvement and new business establishment projects in container terminal, printing and chemical industries.

Angela Fung graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2009 as a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Finance. As a fresher, she is developing her career as corporate sales in investment banking.

Mr. Hon Wing Kwong, Raymond

 

Raymond Hon has over 20 years of diversified working experience in sales & marketing, business development, supply chain management, and manufacturing in IT, telecom, and consumer product industries, mainly with global companies. Raymond is now setting up a global network, providing services on sales & marketing, strategic sourcing, supply chain management and e-procurement solutions.

Prof. Hui King Man, Michael

 

Prof. Hui is currently Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Professor of Marketing at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He was Associate Dean and BBA Programme Director of the Faculty of Business Administration at CUHK from 1999 to 2002. He obtained his BBA from CUHK in 1980, CAAE (Certificat Approfondu d'Administration des Entreprises) from the University of Aix-Marseille, Aix-en-Provence in France in 1983 and Ph.D. from London Business School in 1988. Prior to joining CUHK in 1996, he held academic appointments with the London Business School, Concordia University, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Prof. Hui's teaching and research interests include services marketing, consumer behaviour, China marketing and cross-cultural marketing. He has won many honours and awards for his research and teaching. Among others, he was named one of the most prolific authors in the field of services marketing according to an article published in the Journal of Retailing in 1993. He was one of the recipients of the Outstanding Teacher Award presented by the Faculty of Business Administration at CUHK in 2003. In 2004, he was awarded the Vice-Chancellors’ Exemplary Teaching Award by the University. He is now serving on the editorial boards of a number of academic journals including the Journal of Retailing, Journal of Business Research, Australasian Journal of Marketing, Academy of Marketing Science Review, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services and Journal of Marketing Science (Chinese). Besides teaching and research, Professor Hui has also rendered consultancy and training services to the business sector and the Government.

Mr. Kam, Rocky

 

Rocky Kam graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong as a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2003, Hotel & Tourism Management. Leaving from a possible career path in his concentration of studies, he is striving on becoming an all-around player in business field, especially towards brand-building and business development. He's now working as the sales & marketing manager in Alain Mikli International.

Ms. Lam Lai Kuen, Lynes

 

Lynes Lam graduated in 1993, Treasurer of the Alumni Association and is now a lecturer teaching in the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education. She has been a committee member ever since the founding of the BBA Alumni Association. Lynes is also an enthusiastic volunteer in the Hong Kong Award for Young People that aims to provide challenge for young people.

Ann Lam graduated at 1995, obtained her master degree of Global Supply Chain Management in Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She is working as commodity manager in Schneider Electric Asia Pacific Ltd.

Prof. Law Japhet Sebestian

 

Prof. Law obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1976. He joined the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1986 and is currently Prof. in the Department of Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics. He was the Associate Dean and subsequently the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration from 1993 until 2002. Prior to returning to Hong Kong, Prof. Law was the Director of Operations Research at the Cullen College of Engineering and Director of Graduate Studies in Industrial Engineering at the University of Houston, and was also involved with the U. S. Space Program in his career with McDonnell Douglas and Ford Aerospace in the United States. Prof. Law has consulted with various corporations in Hong Kong and overseas. He is also active in public services, having served as Member of the Provisional Regional Council of the Hong Kong SAR Government and varies other Government advisory committees, and is also active on the boards of for profit, non-profit, and charitable organizations in Hong Kong and overseas. Prof. Law has served on various committees and Board’s of international organizations, including AACSB, Graduate Management Admission Council, and Oxfam International.

Mr. Lee Hoi Chun, Michael

 

Michael Lee graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong as a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2009, with the concentrations in Financial Engineering and International Business. Served the association as a student ambassador throughout 2008, he now changes his role as one of the council members to continuously contribute here. Michael is now engaging in banking indusry.

Ms. Leung Po Lam, Kathy

 

Kathy Leung graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong as a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2004, with the concentration in Marketing. She had worked as a market researcher and then changed to the investment field in 2007. She is now working in a Japanese financial institution as an investment specialist.

Ms. Liu Hiu Wan, Winki

 

Winki Liu holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a concentration in Marketing in 2006. She now works as a consultant in a marketing consulting firm specialized in digital marketing, customer relationship management and marketing research. Her clients include companies from the hotel, retail and IT industries.

 

Winki is an active participant of the University's academic and career programmes. She has participated in overseas work placement scheme where she worked at an advertising agency in Shanghai. She is also a mentor of the BBA Mentorship programme.

Mr. Lo Wai Shing, Raymond

 

Mr. Raymond Lo is a seasoned entrepreneur and has spent much of his own career in global trading. He began gaining his entrepreneurial experience in international trades when he returned to Macao to help his family company’s expansion into Greater China. Later, he set up his own businesses, he is the co-founder of a company specialized in industrial minerals and chemical trading and mining in North Eastern Asia and a merchandising firm for global fashion business concentrating on markets in Western Europe and North America.

 

Besides being an entrepreneur, Mr. Lo is also an enthusiastic community volunteer. He is a Member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Gungdong Province Nan Xiong Municipality Committee; Chairman of the Hong Kong Management Association – Chinese Executives Club (2009-2011); Member of the Industrial Committee of the Commence, Industry and Professional Association (2009-2012); Advisor of the College of Business and Finanace, HKU SPACE (2006-2012). He also holds other honorary and advisory posts with several other organizations in Greater China. Moreover, Mr. Lo teaches undergraduate programmes in public policy and administration at the Department of Public and Social Administration of the City University of Hong Kong.

 

Mr. Lo obtained both his BBA (Hons) in International Business and MSc in Global Business with Dean Honours from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He is glad to have chance to serve his Alma Mater as the Observer of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Project investigated by the CUHK Center for Entrepreneurship (2002-2005). Moreover, Mr. Lo has an active involvement in CUHK’s alumni affairs; he is the Chairman of the CUHK BBA Alumni Association (2008-2010) and was the Deputy Chairman of the CUHK Global Business Alumni Association (2003-2005). He believes that alumni are the bridges between the academia and the business world; cross-fertilizations among these three groups of society elite members would definitely help promote practical solutions for the real global business world.

Mr. Nip, Victor

 

Victor Nip obtained his BBA degree (Professional Accountancy concentration) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1991 and his MBA degree (Financial Information Management concentration) from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996. He is a member of ACCA and is now working in Bayer MaterialScience in product management for the business unit of Polyurethanes. His major responsibilities are the management of supply and forecasting of demand of TDI products, and strategic planning of isocyanate products for the Asia Pacific Region. Apart from serving in the alumni organization of BBA program of the Chinese University, he is serving the alumni of the University of Texas at Austin and is the president of Hong Kong Texas Exes, the local alumni organization of the University of Texas at Austin in Hong Kong.

Alex Suen graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2003 with a major in professional accountancy. He is now working for the Risk Advisory Services in KPMG. Alex is a member of ACCA and HKICPA.

 

Alex has rich experience in participating and coordinating of voluntary services. He is the president of a youth organisation, the Roatract of New Territories for the year 2007 – 2008. He is also an officer of an international youth uniformed organisation, the Boy’s Brigade, Hong Kong since 2007.
